Colonial CASA is a Member of The National CASA Organization.
Colonial CASA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for children who are involved in the court system due to abuse or neglect. We recruit and train passionate community members to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), ensuring these children have a voice and support through their legal journey.
CASAs work independently but are backed by our professional staff who provide ongoing guidance and supervision. Research shows that children with CASA Advocates have access to trauma-informed care, perform better in school, experience shorter stays in foster care, and are more likely to find permanent, safe homes.
In addition to our advocacy efforts, Colonial CASA offers Mentoring Youth programs, providing long-term, supportive relationships that help young people overcome challenges and thrive. Mentoring has been shown to improve academic performance, emotional well-being, and self-esteem—empowering youth to build brighter futures.
Becoming a CASA or mentor is a meaningful and rewarding way to change a child’s story—and in doing so, transform your own.
