Our mission at Colonial Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is to recruit volunteers who will advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children and mentor youth in the community. 

We firmly believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe and stable environment. Through our meticulously recruited, trained, and supervised volunteers, we provide advocacy services to children in court and within the community, ensuring their well-being and securing a brighter future for them.

At Colonial CASA, we recognize the unique strengths and abilities of each volunteer, leveraging their diverse backgrounds and talents in pursuit of our mission. Our advocates undergo thorough training and receive ongoing support from our professional staff to facilitate positive change in the lives of these young victims of abuse and neglect.

By thoroughly researching every aspect of the child’s life and consulting with relevant professionals, our advocates provide comprehensive reports and recommendations to the court, advocating fiercely on behalf of the child.

While our commitment to ensuring the safety and permanence of all children remains steadfast, we are excited to announce we are entering the third year of our new Youth Mentoring Program. This initiative aims to provide additional support and guidance to youth, fostering positive relationships and empowering them to reach their full potential.

As we continue to collaborate with agencies and individuals in the Historic Triangle, our goal remains unchanged: to create a community where every child is protected, nurtured, and given the opportunity to thrive.
